About our foodbank

Here is an introduction to Manchester Central Foodbank

Manchester Central Foodbank was founded in 2013 by a group of students connected with the Manchester Universities Catholic Chaplaincy who were passionate about tackling food poverty and making sure that those in the local community experiencing emergency food poverty would be supported.

We beganĀ  operating out of the Catholic Chaplaincy on Oxford Road, primarily serving the local community of Ardwick , Longsight and theĀ  City Centre. We have since expanded, as the need has risen and run sessions 3 days a week in Ardwick, Harpurhey and Openshaw.

We are regularly providing food for over 1000 people each month. Get in touch to find out more!
